Upstream, midstream and refining clients do not buy steel — they buy schedule certainty and a document package their inspector will accept. TARRADCO has supplied Egyptian operators and their EPC contractors since 1985, and the working method has not changed: agree the ITP before cutting, weld to a qualified procedure, and release nothing without the NDT results attached.
Petrochemical duty means aggressive media, cyclic temperatures and zero appetite for leaks. Material selection and traceability matter as much as welding: the wrong grade in the wrong service is a failure waiting for a shutdown to reveal it.
Marine structures fail at the coating long before they fail at the steel. Every marine package we deliver is specified for its real exposure — atmospheric, splash zone or submerged — because that decision drives service life more than plate thickness does.
Cement and mineral plants run continuously and wear their steel out from the inside. Replacement chutes, liners, ducting sections and conveyor galleries almost always have to be fabricated ahead of a planned stop and installed inside a very short window.
Food and beverage plants need fabrication that survives cleaning chemicals and inspection audits, not just load. Weld finish, drainability and the absence of dirt traps are the specification, and a crevice that would be irrelevant in a pipe rack becomes a hygiene finding here.
Desalination and water treatment combine two of the hardest conditions for steel: constant wetting and high chloride content. Standard structural specification and standard coating both under-perform here, and the cost of getting it wrong appears three years into operation, not at handover.
Power projects are schedule-driven and heavily witnessed. Fabrication has to keep pace with a commissioning date fixed long before the steel is ordered, while every critical joint is inspected and every material certificate is filed.
