Fabrication and erection of the central air-conditioning ductwork, and erection of the chiller units, for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina — one of Egypt's landmark public buildings.

Approach

Large-section HVAC ducting fabricated and installed on site, with mechanical erection of the chiller plant coordinated to the building programme.

Outcome

Delivered as part of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina project in 1998 — a flagship reference TARRADCO has carried ever since.

Scope

Fabrication and erection of a degasifier vessel (WT-101) for a Water Treatment Unit — a rubber-lined carbon-steel vessel of roughly 15 m³ (≈ Ø1.8 m × 6 m shell) that strips dissolved gases (CO₂ and oxygen) from the treated water to protect downstream plant and piping from corrosion, with an internal water distributor and net-ring-supported packing, nozzles, saddles and lifting lugs.

Approach

Built to the original Japanese process design (Nippon Kensui Co.): plate rolling and shell assembly, internal fit-up of the distributor and support rings, welding and NDT to the specified acceptance standards, then site erection.

Outcome

A rubber-lined process vessel delivered and erected in 2025 to an international (Japanese) design for the petroleum sector — evidence of TARRADCO's capability on specialised water-treatment equipment.

Scope

Fabrication of a storage tank for El Habib Company.

Approach

In-house plate rolling, shell and floor assembly, welding and testing to standard.

Outcome

Delivered in 2024.

Scope

Fabrication and erection of above-ground storage tanks for a petrochemical operator, including shell courses, self-supporting roof and internal fittings.

Approach

Plate rolling on our in-house lines, sequenced shell and roof assembly, welded per API standard, followed by full hydrostatic testing and NDT sign-off.

Outcome

Package delivered ahead of the contractual schedule and passed third-party inspection at first submittal, ready for handover and commissioning.

Scope

Offshore-grade boat landing structure and a modular pipe clamp system for a coastal facility exposed to aggressive marine conditions.

Approach

Corrosion-resistant fabrication with tight dimensional control, coordinated load-out with the marine contractor and a specified multi-coat marine coating system.

Outcome

Installed without a single lost-time incident, with an extended-service-life coating dossier that meets the client's long-term maintenance strategy.

Scope

Primary steel frame, mezzanines, access platforms and pipe racks for the expansion of an operating industrial facility.

Approach

CNC-cut plate and profile preparation, in-house design coordination with the client's engineering team, and a certified erection crew mobilized to site.

Outcome

The full structural package was fabricated, coated and erected inside a compressed programme without disrupting adjacent live operations.

Scope

Replacement shell-and-tube heat exchanger for a process plant, matched to existing tie-ins, foundations and duty conditions.

Approach

Reverse-engineered from existing process data and site measurements, fabricated under a documented weld map with full NDT on critical joints.

Outcome

Zero-leak commissioning on first startup and immediate return to nameplate thermal performance.

Scope

Prefabricated spool packages supporting a scheduled plant turnaround, covering multiple line classes and materials.

Approach

Isometric-driven fabrication in the shop, coordinated procurement of pipe and fittings, coating and packing so spools arrived on site ready for tie-in.

Outcome

Significant reduction in on-site welding hours and a turnaround completed on schedule with no rework escalations.

Scope

Large-format CNC-cut plate parts with full protective coating for a structural steel package.

Approach

Plasma/flame cutting on our 2.5 × 12 m bed, SA 2.5 abrasive blast preparation and an airless-applied multi-coat protective system per specification.

Outcome

Complete coating dossier delivered with the shipment, giving the client documented long-term corrosion protection out of the box.
