Pirelli's plant in the Amreya industrial zone of Alexandria is one of the largest heavy-vehicle tyre factories in the Middle East and North Africa. Working as a stainless steel tank manufacturer in Egypt, TARRADCO fabricated tanks for the plant: vertical stainless steel process tanks for clean, corrosion-resistant service, and a horizontal carbon steel tank.
The challenge
Tyre production uses process fluids that call for tanks which resist corrosion and stay clean over years of service. Stainless steel delivers that, but only when it is handled and welded carefully so its protective surface is not damaged. The tanks also needed safe access for inspection and operation.
Our scope
- Fabrication of vertical stainless steel process tanks with dished heads, mounted on stainless legs.
- Caged ladders, top platforms and handrails for safe access.
- Nozzles, drains and pipe connections to the plant's requirements.
- Fabrication of a horizontal carbon steel tank with nozzles, stiffening rings and supports, blasted and painted.
- Testing, final inspection and delivery to the plant.
Two materials, one workshop
The project combined stainless and carbon steel work. Handling both in one workshop, with the separation stainless fabrication needs, let us deliver the full tank package to Pirelli from a single supplier as custom steel fabrication built to the plant's requirements.

The tanks were delivered and installed at Pirelli's Alexandria plant.
