API 650 storage tanks fabricated and erected in Egypt
API 650 is the reference standard for welded atmospheric storage tanks, and buyers in Egypt's petroleum and gas sector treat it as a pass/fail requirement rather than a preference. Meeting it is not a matter of copying a drawing: it needs qualified welding procedures, controlled plate handling, a disciplined NDT regime and a document dossier that a third-party inspector can accept at first submittal.
What the scope covers
TARRADCO has been fabricating tanks in Alexandria since 1985 and is a registered contractor with the General Petroleum Authority (registration file #124, 2023) and a qualified vendor with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding (EGAS, registered 2024). Our management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
- Welded atmospheric tanks to API 650 for crude, product, water and process service
- Shell course rolling, bottom and annular plate layout, cone and dome roof structures
- Nozzle and manway sets, reinforcing pads, stairways, platforms and handrails
- Welding to qualified procedures, with welder qualification records issued in the dossier
- Radiography, ultrasonic, dye-penetrant and vacuum box testing as the ITP requires
- Hydrotest, settlement monitoring and handover documentation
- SA 2.5 blasting and airless coating, internal lining to the specified system
- Site erection crews: qualified welders, pipe fitters and riggers from our own workforce
